TSR runs on a mix of VIP subscriptions and advertising, and we always want to be clear about where that support goes.
A huge part of our budget goes directly toward supporting our top artists. They create an incredible amount of new content - around 100 new files every single day - on top of the many community uploads we also host. That adds up to roughly 700 fresh downloads every week for your game.
We also invest heavily in the platforms needed to store and serve millions of files. TSR has been part of the Sims community since 1999, and we still host content for every Sims game - including Sims 1; because many players still use them. We’re committed to keeping that full archive available and running smoothly.
Beyond artists and hosting, we also maintain a small team of Sims-loving staff who:
- check that uploads are safe, meet EA standards, and stay PG-13 friendly
- create news, blogs, and social content to keep the community connected
- moderate comments, forums, and interactive areas to keep everyone safe
- provide friendly, daily support for any account or download issues
- design, update, and build features to continually improve the site
- maintain the stability and security of our servers and databases
Running a site this large comes with real costs, but we want you to know your support - whether through VIP or simply being here - goes directly into keeping TSR thriving for the whole Sims community.
